Craigwell Cottage - perfect for Edinburgh Vacations (sleeps 4)
It’s unusual to have access to a whole self catering cottage in Edinburgh City Centre especially with a private parking space and wi-fi internet. Craigwell Cottage is ideally situated near the Royal Mile, the Palace of Holyrood house, the Scottish Parliament, Dynamic Earth and Holyrood Park. Perfect for Edinburgh vacations. Within easy walking distance of many Festival Venues, Edinburgh's Waverley Station and the City Centre shops, restaurants, theatres and cafes. Craigwell Cottage is part of the old Craigwell Brewery, which was established at North Back of Canongate in 1822. The building was renovated in the 1980's to form a mixture of townhouses, apartments and this semi-detached property. The architects who worked on the conversion were Nicholas Groves-Raines Architects, and they received a Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) Architecture Award in 1988 for the conversion.
Entering Craigwell Cottage through the main door, you will find the bathroom to the left, with the twin bedroom also to the left and the double bedroom ahead. Stairs to the right lead up to the first floor where there is an open plan living, dining and kitchen area with French windows on to Juliet balconies at the front and side of the property. Craigwell Cottage is equipped to sleep up to four adults/children one bed can be replaced by a cot if required. Bedroom space is restricted, and guests should take this into account when deciding if the property meets their needs. . There is access to a shared garden behind the townhouses on the opposite side of the courtyard.
