Knoydart House - Luxury West Coast of Scotland Self Catering Accommodation - sleeps from 4 up to 10

One of Scotland's most awaited holiday accommodations has just been finished and is now available to book, but you will have to be very lucky to get your week, its going to be very busy.

My work with this guide is to scour everywhere to discover the very best self catering accommodation in Scotland, and about a year ago I came across a blog that was describing the building process of this magnificent house. At first I just thought it was interesting that someone would write a blog about this and kept my eye on it from time to time. But it became clear in this blog that they were going to build something spectacular and I think you will agree that they have.

here is a small fragment from the recent blog

"What a month August has been! I can finally get at the keyboard, and not for the want of trying as there has been a whirlwind of activity on Knoydart. A cd launch, the BBC filming for a well known TV programme with some “weel kent faces” more later, Cameron Buttle from Reporting Scotland transmitting with the BBBC British Broadcasting and BEER Company (will all be come clearer later), a nine piece German Folk Rock band Anduril, the flitting of the hot tub by landing craft, installing the wood burning stove, the Knoydart Highland Games, a ceilidh, a one man band, a stag party dressed as a chicken, a tall ships fleet and a whistlestop tour of The Black Isle to collect the shrubs and plants for landscaping Knoydart House. The House is going to be busy!  There is only one week left for the October holidays if you fancy kicking back before yule madness takes over!"

It all sounds breathless as has been the whole blog of the build, every choice they have made has not been based on cost, but on what would be best for the visitor.

I have not seen this accommodation yet but hope to give it a full review in the future when I manage to get there.

I should mention that there is a self contained granny flat that is part of the whole house, this can be used for a party guide, or rented separately in low season.
